Reporting for Locum Work

Once you accept and confirm your appointment we will provide you with any additional information required to ensure that you can commence employment upon the agreed date. Please notify us well ahead of the starting date should you not be able to start with the locum work on the agreed date. It is important to ensure that the employer will not make arrangements for your arrival in vein.

It may so happen that you arrive after hours to report for locum work in which case you will be given directions and contacts for reporting. We endeavour to keep you informed ensuring that your first day will be well planned without any unpleasant surprises.

You will need to report for locum work at the medical staffing department of the hospital or clinic with at least one form of photo identification. It will not only serve to ensure that an impostor doesn’t pretend to be you, but will also be used for administration purposes.

Any responsibilities or important information for your first day will be given through before your departure and arrival. We understand that the sheer logistics of travelling to and starting work in another country can become overwhelming. Don’t be concerned - our administration and payroll experts will help you make the transition and ensure a pleasant first day at your new employer.

In general you will be required to provide a copy of your signature to the staffing officer for pharmacy verification purposes. You will receive an induction to help you get orientated regarding for instance, the ordering of blood etc. You will also receive appropriate maps, keys, passwords, staff cards, and more as applicable when reporting for locum work.
