Accountants for help with tax returns
Make sure you select an AISMA registered accountant to help with the tax calculations. The AISMA accountants will be able to provide extensive guidance for tax returns whether for GP locums or NHS locums. The association now already represents more than 2400 practices and as such understand the payroll issues of GP locums, NHS locums, and partner general practitioners well.
Maximum working hours
From June 2009 the EWTD which stands for European Working Time Directive, will apply for work hours. A ceiling of maximum 48 hours has been proposed. Many Trusts may have problems and will need time to adjust the work hours. Please contact our payroll division for information regarding the EWTD.
