Medical locums - initial applications
Each candidate submits a CV which should include their career history. Any gaps in the employment history must be explained and motivated.
Proof of registration
When the candidates register through us, they must also provide proof of registration with the GMC and all relevant professional bodies.
Verification of GMC registration
We verify the GMC registration of the medical locums that apply for positions advertised through us. The verification is done at the specific institution.
We require professional references of the current and previous employers. We verify the references at the source.
We perform full identity checks accordance to the regulations for recruitment of medical locums. This process also includes verification of the personal identification documents, passports, and visas. In addition we also ensure that the person has the right to work as a medical locum in the UK.
Criminal records checking
All candidates for positions as medical locums undergo CRB checking to ensure that their records are clean.
The candidates must complete the health questionnaire forming part of the registration process and must provide proof of the required health checks, and vaccination and immunisation reports.
Each candidate is interviewed according to the requirements for the specific position.
Once medical locums are placed at the appropriate clients, follow-up reporting will be done. Your feedback is required ensuring that the performance of the specific medical locum can be monitored and recorded.
We set up the payroll system and require weekly time sheets to be completed by the medical locums. The time sheets must be authorised by the relevant manager. Payment is done weekly directly into the account of the doctor. We ensure full compliance with all payroll regulations as part of our locum recruitment services.
